Featuring Styrian accordion, violin, and vocals, the program combines original compositions, newly interpreted Christmas songs, festive folk music, and special arrangements. Works by great composers take on a new sound in an evening celebrating warmth, virtuosity, and the timeless message of Christmas.\nJakob Steinkellner\nJakob Steinkellner (*1995) is an internationally renowned musician and educator whose artistic focus is on the accordion and Styrian accordion (Steirische Harmonika). He completed bachelor’s and master’s degrees in concert performance, instrumental pedagogy, music-making with people with disabilities, and folk music at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, graduating with distinction.\nAlongside his teaching, Steinkellner headed the Folk Music program at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich until 2023. His expertise has taken him to renowned conservatories around the world, including in Peru, Vietnam, Japan, Tunisia, and the Philippines. As a soloist and ensemble musician, Steinkellner performed more than 200 concerts in over 30 countries between 2023 and 2025.\nHis work combines traditional roots with innovative and contemporary approaches.\nTomas Novak\nTomas Novak is a musician, composer, and performer based in and around Austria. Classically trained, he studied jazz violin with Andi Schreiber at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. His playing encompasses a wide range of styles, from contemporary and classical music to swing, folklore, and freely improvised music.\nNovak performs with ensembles including Hot Club du Nax, Duo Novak/Schuberth, Lizard Ensemble, CCJOP, and Falb/Todorovski/Novak. He is also an accomplished singer-songwriter and performs his chanson program Aus der Schuhschachtel.\n
