Through literature in translation, European Literature Night invites audiences to:\n\nDiscover New Voices – Encounter remarkable contemporary authors and their latest works\nExplore Across Borders – Experience the richness and diversity of Europe’s literary landscape across languages and cultures\nConnect Through Stories – Explore how literature fosters dialogue and connects us across borders\n\nWhether you are a passionate reader, a literary professional, or simply curious to discover new voices from across Europe, European Literature Night offers a unique opportunity to experience the stories that connect us.\nThe Austrian Participant: Tanja Paar \nTanja Paar ( https://www.residenzverlag.com/en/autor/tanja-paar ) is an Austrian writer based in Vienna. She represents Austria at European Literature Night 2026, joining literary voices from 14 European countries for an evening dedicated to storytelling, cultural exchange, and contemporary European literature. Born in Graz, she studied German, history, and philosophy before working in theatre, journalism, and publishing. Her novels place characters at moments of personal and political upheaval, exploring boundaries, belonging, and the possibility of change.
