DESCRIPTION:\nDead Letter Office is an exhibition of works by five artists, each invited by Anna-Sophie Berger (b. 1989, Vienna, AT). While Berger met most of these artists in Vienna, the grouping is not characterized by the mutual locality of the city, but rather by a shared understanding of the existentialism of daily life. The artists included in the show are Christophe Charon, Feminist Land Art Retreat, Matthew Linde, Lucia Elena Prusa, Min Yoon, and Anna-Sophie Berger.\nDead Letter Office explores motifs of an individual’s struggle for agency within a political or social environment of stress where it seems strangely naive to be productive or optimistic. Some objects in the show are distressed, while some refer to the body’s absence. Some works refer to doubt, and some to the natural deconstruction and generation of life.
