This, along with his unusual liking of ketchup, turned him into an outsider at school. One day, while retrieving to the school’s bathroom during recess to have his usual ketchup and sandwich, he comes across ALEKSANDAR. Aleksandar is a bit older than Paul. He seems desperate, even brought a knife to school. Paul doesn’t reveal himself, nevertheless, the other boy awoke his interest: What is it with this kid and why does he also hide in the school bathroom? Later that day, coincidentally Paul observes Aleksandar being bullied by a gang of older kids. To escape his situation Aleks tries to run from the school tyrants. The gang follows him and, carefully, so does Paul. Finally, the boys manage to corner Aleksandar on a playground near the school and decide to continue humiliating him as punishment for his attempt to escape. But Aleksandar still has his knife. Before things escalate, though, Paul decides to step in and …\nABOUT THE DIRECTOR\nPatrick Vollrath was born in 1985 in a small town in Central Germany. After graduating from school in 2004 he did an apprenticeship as film and video editor at ARRI Film & TV Services in Munich. During his training, he worked as an editor on multiple short films and making-ofs as well as assistant editor on feature films. Since 2008, he studies directing at the Filmacademy in Vienna under Professor Michael Haneke. His short films won multiple awards at worldwide film festivals.
