SUMMARY:MOVING SOUNDS FESTIVAL | ON-GOING EVENT | FROM AUSTRIA TO AMERICA : A DIGITAL SOUND WALK
DESCRIPTION:This project by Ruth Farrar, which was commissioned by the ACFNY for this year’s Moving Sounds Festival, will take place at the ACFNY Library, on the building’s 4th floor, for the duration of the festival. From Austria to America: A Digital Sound Walk moves beyond the traditional boundaries of a sound walk to digitally take a listener on a journey of personal memories that delve beneath the surface of picture perfect images of the United States. Using headphones, the listener can enter the worlds of Austrians who have moved to America.
