SUMMARY:Dance Performance and Roundtable | ZERO PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:JUNE 15 | 7 PM\nInclusive Music Making, Accessibility, and their Innovative Applications in the Arts\nInnovations in music technology and inclusive participatory models have allowed people with disabilities to learn, enjoy, and play music without barriers. Join the Zero Project ( https://zeroproject.org/ ), the Austrian Cultural Forum New York, and the Permanent Mission of Austria to the United Nations in New York ( https://www.bmeia.gv.at/oev-new-york/ ) to learn about novel musical instruments that can be played using just the performer’s eyes, as well as inclusive and equitable ways to include everyone in the enjoyment that is the magic and mystery of music. Come and learn about lived inclusion in music!\nThe event will kick off with an interactive and inclusive dance performance by Jerron Herman ( https://jerronherman.com/ ), Eppchez Yes ( http://www.almasengine.com/ ), Madeline Mellinger and Connie Vandarakis ( https://www.uarts.edu/node/10541 ).\nThe audience will then delve into a hybrid roundtable to understand how each component of music can be made inclusive from instruments, to composing, dance, and even film. Moderated by: Lachi  ( http://www.lachimusic.com/index.html )\nThe event will be provided with in-screen captions and ASL interpretation for the live audience.
