DESCRIPTION:Image Credits: Thomas Radlwimmer\n \nFebruary 8 | 7 PM\nSold out.\n\nAbout the Concert\nInspired by the beauty and vastness of the universe, the band Alpha Trianguli ( https://www.alphatrianguli.com/ ) begins their journey into the infinity of sound worlds. Driven by the curiosity of the four musicians to let themselves fall and be carried away, the band sometimes sounds earthy and energetic, sometimes calm and floating. The interaction of the Vienna-based quartet gives the impression that this is itself a micro-cosmos: the rhythms of the drums circulate around the gravitational field of the double bass which ensures pulse and periodicity. The magical, expansive sound of the vibraphone fills the spaces created and sparkles like the sublime firmament. From there, the earthly, warm sound of the trombone resounds like a voice into space.\nWith their debut album, Entering Zero Gravity, Alpha Trianguli takes their audience away from the turbulent everyday life for a few moments into a space of weightlessness, calm and focused attention.\n\nAbout the Artists\nAlois Eberl\nTrombonist, accordionist and composer Alois Eberl was born in Kitzbühel in 1986. At the age of 14, he continued his early classical music training in trombone and accordion at the Tyrolean State Conservatory in Innsbruck. He then studied jazz trombone at the Anton Bruckner Private University and concert trombone at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg. He has worked with Ray Anderson, James Morrison, Bob Mintzer, Michel Camilo, Wycliffe Gordon, Chuck Findley, Jure Pukl, Dave Taylor, Gary Smulyan, Dave Liebman, Thomas Gansch and Martin Grubinger, to name just a few.\nHe has given concerts on international stages such as the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Vienna, Porgy&Bess Vienna, B-Flat Berlin, ÖKF Tehran, ÖKF London, Jazz Festival Saalfelden, Jazz Festival Burghausen, Jazzcafé London, Reims Cathedral, Jazzit Salzburg, Philharmonie Berlin, Philharmonie Munich.\nFlorian Klinger\nFlorian Klinger, born in Hollabrunn in 1991, studied classical percussion at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna from 2007 and has been a percussionist in the orchestra of the Vienna Volksoper since 2011.\nIn 2014 he completed his studies in instrumental pedagogy in the subjects of improvisation and jazz mallets at the JAM Music Lab University. In 2016-2017 Florian Klinger studied jazz vibraphone with Stefon Harris in New York City and at William Paterson University NJ with Kevin Norton, Bill Charlap, Aaron Goldberg, and many more. He was selected for the 2017 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency Program at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.\nHe works in ensembles of various musical genres and his concert activities have taken him to several continents. He played with Benny Golson, Dick Hyman, Fabio Luisi, Bob Mintzer, Danny Grissett, Daniel Hope, and many more.\nBeate Wiesinger (in lieu of Philipp Kienberger)\nBassplayer Beate Wiesinger, born in 1986 in Upper Austria, studied electric bass at the University of Performing Arts Vienna and doublebass at the Anton-Bruckner Privatuniversität and Högskolan für Scen och Musik Göteborg.\nShe was given the BMUKK Startstipendium, Burghausen Nachwuchs-Jazzpreis and was part of „New Austrian Sound of Music“ (NASOM) and Young Nordic Jazz Comets.\nShe performed at Jazzfestival Berlin, Jazztopad Festival, Jazzfest Wien, Jazzfestival Saalfelden, Bohemia Jazzfestival, Inntöne Jazzfestival, Carinthischer Sommer, Styriarte, Jazzweekend Regensburg, Popfest Wien, Salzburger Festspiele, Burghausen Jazzfestival, Jazz Finland Festival, GG Jazz Festival Krasnodar, Døla-Jazzfestival, Artist Residency Skagaströnd (Iceland) to name a few.\nJakob Kammerer\nJakob Kammerer, born in 1992 in Melk, Lower Austria, studied drums at the University of Music and Art in Vienna and at the University of Music and Dance in Cologne. At the latter he also completed his studies in composition and arrangement.\nHe has been awarded several scholarships, including the Start Stipendium from the Republic of Austria. He also received the Burghauser Young Jazz Prize for his ensemble Kammerer Orköster.\nHis work took him through Europe, where he performed at renowned festivals such as Umbria Jazz Festival, Int. Burghauser Jazz Week, Jazzwerstatt Vienna Festival, Nova Rock Festival, Take The A-Trane Festival, Jazz Weekend Regensburg, etc.\nIn addition to his concert activities, Kammerer composes and designs music for theaters and podcasts at home and abroad.
