Join us for an evening of musical contrasts and colors, exploring the interplay of light and shadow in works by Austrian composers and beyond. With the Accio Piano Trio featuring Clemens Böck (violin), Anne Keckeis (cello) and Christina Scheicher (piano).
About the Concert
The Austria-based Accio Piano Trio presents a program exploring the theme of contrast—between light and shadow, color and form, past and present. The concert highlights the next generation of Austrian composers, featuring Viennese-born Noëmi Haffner’s atmospheric Lichter und Farben and Salzburg’s Karim Zech, who engages in a bold dialogue with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s music in his work GegenSatz. Alongside these contemporary pieces, the trio performs works by Austrian masters Joseph Haydn and Franz Schubert, juxtaposed with impressionist compositions by Maurice Ravel and Mélanie Bonis. Founded at the Mozarteum University Salzburg in 2013, the Accio Piano Trio is celebrated for its dynamic interpretations of Viennese Classicism, contemporary Austrian compositions with a focus on works by female composers.

“New Austrian Sound of Music”
The “New Austrian Sound of Music” (NASOM) is a biannual sponsorship program by the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs, promoting emerging Austrian and Austria-based musicians performing abroad. The aim of NASOM is to offer support for international performances of promising young talents with the help of a global network of embassies, cultural forums and consulates over a period of two years. A further objective of NASOM is to draw more attention to the fact that Austrian music – beyond the traditional – is as vibrant, modern and culturally diverse as ever. Every two years, the young artists accepted for this program are selected in cooperation with the organization mica – music austria and a commission of experts. Participants of the sponsorship program are chosen from the genres classical, jazz, global, contemporary and pop/electronic music.
