
ACFNY SUPPORTED | 43rd GSA ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The ACFNY supports a limited number of young scholars (graduate students, PhDs and post-docs) on contemporary Austrian studies at this year’s conference of the German Studies Association (GSA) which will be held in Portland.
To recognize this year’s travel grants recipients, please join ACFNY Director Dr. Michael Haider at a reception which will be held on Saturday, 5 October, at 7.30 PM in Grand Ballroom 2.
This year, the ACFNY will also sponsor a special panel featuring the following presentations by two distinguished Vienna-based scholars:
Professor Arnold Suppan, “The Imperialist Peace Order in Central Europe: Saint-Germain and Trianon 1919-20”
Dr. Stefan Wedrac, “The Partition of the Tyrol 1918-1919 and the Paris Peace Conference”
This special session will take place on Friday, 4 October from 10.15 AM – 12.15 PM, in Grand Parlor A. The session will be moderated by GSA Executive Director Professor David Barclay. ACFNY Director Michael Haider will be the commentator.
Selected publications on the ACFNY program and featured titles will be available at the Austrian book stand throughout the conference.

ABOUT THE GSA
The German Studies Association (GSA) is the premier multi- and interdisciplinary association of scholars focused on German, Austrian, and Swiss history, literature, culture studies, political science, and economics in the United States.
