ACFNY SUPPORTED | ANN COTTEN @ NEW LITERATURE FROM EUROPE FESTIVAL

The NEW LITERATURE FROM EUROPE FESTIVAL is one of New York’s top literature events, dedicated to authors from across the European continent. Now in its 13th consecutive year, it is an annual celebration of creative writing from all over Europe. Featuring readings and discussions between leading and emerging literary voices, and some of America’s foremost writers and critics, the festival celebrates important new European literature in translation. The NLE Festival is jointly organized by the ACFNY, the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and New York-based European cultural institutes.

The ACFNY is happy to announce that Austrian-American writer Ann Cotten will take part in this year’s festival staged in New York City from December 7 – 10 2016.

ABOUT THE WRITER
Ann Cotten, born in 1982 in Iowa, grew up in Vienna, Austria, where she studied literature and worked various jobs. In 2006 she moved to Berlin. She has written a number of books of poetry and fiction, including Fremdwörterbuchsonette, Florida-Rooms, I, Coleoptile, Der schaudernde Fächer, Hauptwerk, Softsoftporn, Rein – ja oder nein? and Lather in Heaven. With Monika Rinck and Sabine Scho, she also forms the Rotten Kinck Schow, an experimental theory revue.
