EUROPEAN BOOK CLUB | AUSTRIAN SESSION | DANIEL GLATTAUER: LOVE VIRTUALLY

The Austrian Cultural Forum New York is pleased to host the Austrian session of the European Book Club. The focus of this session, which will be moderated by Hannah Liko, ACFNY Deputy Director and Head of its Literature Department, will be Love Virtually, by Daniel Glattauer (SilverOak, 2011, translated by Katharina Bielenberg and Jamie Bulloch).

This virtual romance begins by chance: When Leo mistakenly receives e-mail from a stranger named Emmi, he replies – and Emmi writes back. Soon, secrets are shared, sparks fly, and erotic tension simmers. Even though Emmi is married, it seems only a matter of time until they meet. But will their feelings survive a real-life encounter? And, if so, what then? Funny and fast-paced, Love Virtually offers plenty of twists, turns, and satisfaction.

The book is available through amazon.com.

Praise for Love Virtually

“One of the cleverest and most magical love-dialogues in modern literature.” – Der Spiegel:

“What Glattauer has constructed is an ingenious tightly plotted suspense story. As with a thriller, there is pleasure to be had here in trying to predict the turn of events — and having one’s predictions confounded.” – Times Literary Supplement:
