Austrian photographer Andrea Witzmann is showing works created during her recent residency in New York. Witzmann is the recipient of a grant from the Austrian Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture, which provides Austrian visual artists the opportunity to spend three months living and working in New York City.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Andrea Witzmann, born in Vienna in 1970, holds degrees from the University of Technology Vienna and the Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. She has received numerous scholarships and awards. Among these are the Scholarship at the Cité International des Arts Paris, The Austrian Award of Photography, the Residency Foundation B.a.d. Rotterdam and the Scholarship Atelier Red Gare Gallery Beijing. Some of her recent exhibitions include Absolut Wien at WIEN MUSEUM, In Between, Austria Contemporary at NAMOC National Art Museum, Beijing and CAC, Contemporary Art Center Vilnius, as well as Psychoanalysis- Gazes on Photo and Video Art from Austria at Tokyo Wonder Site – Shibuya, Japan.
