Crossing the Line

Co-presented with Dancing in the Streets the Austrian Cultural Forum NY presents Willi Dorner – Bodies in Urban Space

From sunrise to sunset, accompanied by numerous performers, Vienna-based choreographer Willi Dorner takes to the streets, leading audiences through Wall Street. As they walk along narrow cobblestone streets, audiences will encounter dancers transforming themselves into “human sculptures” that extend seamlessly into the surrounding architecture. The performance trail has been determined by Willi Dorner with the goal of intensifying the experience of the neighborhood, its history, its present, and the relationship of urban design to the human form.
