Guitarist, composer and creative mastermind Peter Legat has joined forces with powerful vocalist Kelli Sae to become the life and soul of the band Count Basic. Together, they are known to perform an earth-shaking combination of soul, funk, jazz and dance rhythms characterized by an undeniably uplifting spirit. In August 2016, New York City hosts Count Basic’s very first performance in the USA.
ABOUT THE BAND
Brought to life by Peter Legat in 1993, Count Basic turned out to be an instantaneously successful project. During the production process of his first album, Legat met New Yorker soul singer Sae Kelli, and the two of them initiated an artistic collaboration. Kelli has been a consistent component of Count Basic ever since. Having performed at more than 100 venues all around Europe, the band can refer to an impressive biography of international achievement. In August 2016, Count Basic comes to New York City to perform at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre in Lafayette Street.
