ABOUT
The composer and vocal artist Martina Claussen explores and combines the sounds of the human voice and sound objects with field recordings, analog and digital electronics. She explores the space and the performative action and has over the years steadily developed her own distinctive style of music. Martina Claussen studied computer music and electronic media at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Classical Singing at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna and composition at the Bruckner University in Linz. She has held performances and concerts at various international festivals including ARS ELECTRONICA, Wien Modern, Fylkingen – Stockholm, Acousmatic Festival St. Petersburg, Iklectik – London and the NEW York City Electroacoustic Music Festival. She works at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna where, since 2009, she holds the position of Associate Professor of Voice. www.martinaclaussen.at
Since 1996 Andreas Weixler & Se-Lien Chuang are jointly running Atelier Avant Austria as artist cooperation for composition, computer music and multimedia based in Austria. 2018 Andreas Weixler & Se-Lien Chuang are the ICMA award winner for the best European performance. Currently, both are specializing in intermedia concerts of improvisation and audiovisual real-time computing. www.avant.mur.at
