ACFNY SUPPORTED | PANEL DISCUSSION | ART AND DIPLOMACY
This panel discussion is part of a one-day symposium titled F(o)unding Culture: Experiences from Central Europe and the United States, which addresses the issue of supporting art, both financially and organizationally. The symposium will look at best-practice models from the Central Europe and the United States.
In this panel, artists, civil servants, businessmen, art managers and philanthropists will discuss the meaning of art in public diplomacy and business, now and in the future. How can we learn from the experience of the USA and Central Europe and secure a sustainable development in the field of art and culture? Is there a space for mutual cooperation of institutions or shall we rely on supportive individuals only?
This event is organized by the Czech Center New York in cooperation with the Aspen Institute Prague, and the Consulate General of the Czech Republic, the Austrian Cultural Forum, the Polish Cultural Institute, and the Vaclav Havel Library Foundation.
