Founded in 2011, this thrilling young wind quintet has already attracted interest from international presenters. Founded at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (chamber music class of Gottfried Johannes Pokorny), these five musicians have a wonderful musical chemistry together, and present artistry and technique at the highest level. Their unique sound is due in part to the world famous Viennese wind instruments. All five musicians are also successful soloists: just this past September, clarinetist Bernhard Mitmesser won the U21-Special Prize at the prestigious ARD Music Competition in Munich.
The Webern Wind Quintet have performed in Teheran, Budapest, Limassol/Cyprus. Upcoming concerts will take them to Canada, and Poland. This spring they will give their debut performance at the Wiener Musikverein.
