With Hymne à l’amour, Duo Minerva demonstrates how thrilling and multifaceted classical music can be. Their interpretations breathe new life into familiar works, weaving playful arrangements that effortlessly move between genres. At the heart of the program lies love expressed through a vibrant mix of classical masterpieces, contemporary avantgarde, folk traditions, and unexpected surprises. Virtuosity, emotional depth, and a touch of wit create a musical experience that is both intimate and daring, leaving audiences with a sense of discovery and wonder.
About the Artists
Johanna Gossner (clarinet) and Damian Keller (accordion) defy musical boundaries. Hailing from Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the duo crafts an artful crossover sound rooted in classical traditions yet enriched with world, jazz, and avantgarde influences. Their fresh approach has been recognized internationally: Winners of the 16th Fidelio Chamber Music Competition of the City of Vienna and recipients of the Young Artists Scholarship in 2017, they have since performed at renowned festivals including Allegro Vivo, the Salzburg Festival, :alpenarte, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. In 2023, Duo Minerva joined the prestigious Club Klassik – Vienna Music Society sponsorship program, affirming their status as one of Austria’s most promising young ensembles.
