In her new recital program Austrian harpist Elisabeth Plank presents music from her hometown Vienna, spanning from the 18th to the 21st century. The program creates impressive, as well as filigree soundscapes with original compositions and arrangements, balancing between famous composers their nowadays lesser known contemporaries.

About Elisabeth Plank

„an exceptional player, great command of her instrument, so much character & colour in her playing“ (BBC Radio Scotland) Elisabeth Plank has established herself as an internationally sought-after soloist & ambassador for the harp.

As a recitalist or soloist with orchestra, she has performed in renowned concert halls & festivals around the world – such as Musikverein Wien, Harpa Reykjavík, Konzerthaus Berlin, NOSPR, Bogotá International Music Festival, or Dubai Opera with orchestras like Barockensemble der Wiener Symphoniker, NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, Iasi Philharmonic or Thüringer Symphoniker.

From 2019-2021 Elisabeth Plank was “Great Talent” of Wiener Konzerthaus.

She has released three critically acclaimed solo albums („L‘arpa notturna“, „1825″ & “musings”) and has recorded Mozart’s KV299 with RSO Wien for the „Next Generation Mozart Soloist“-series.

Elisabeth Plank was born in Vienna in 1991. She studied at mdw with Adelheid Blovsky-Miller & Mirjam Schröder.
