ONLINE PERFORMANCE | SAIN MUS AT BELVEDERE PALACE VIENNA
“Sain Mus” consists of Philipp Erasmus (Guitar) and Clemens Sainitzer (Violoncello). Together they have been working, recording and playing for over 15 years – resulting in three albums and numerous live shows all around the world.
Their musical instruments produce sound in accordance with the room they are in, whether it is made for the playing of acoustic music, or whether the room just happens to enhance it. The duo’s second album already featured music recorded in different environments, adding a spatial dimension to the listening experience. In similar spirit, the two musicians would have liked to take the opportunity as part of the NASOM program 2020/21 of the BMEIA Austria to record a new album on their various concert trips: rooms in foreign countries that each provide an exciting acoustic dimension, would serve as recording locations. Intimate improvisations or spontaneous compositions, inspired by the trips, would then be field-recorded and captured on location.
After the Covid-19 pandemic hit, their plans for traveling and playing concerts all around the globe were made impossible. As a result of that, the duo kept searching for interesting locations in Austria and is now happy to have found the Belvedere Palace in Vienna to present their music in for this special concert.
The lavish baroque Palace with its high and opulent rooms will be captured on film and audio exclusively for the ACFNY to bring a landmark of Austrian craftsmanship and culture to the USA and the whole world.
SAIN MUS’s concert will be debuted on the ACFNY YouTube Channel on November 10th at 2PM EDT.

ABOUT THE MUSICIANS
Clemens Sainitzer is a jazz-cellist based in Vienna, Austria. He studied with Mic Oechsner (Vienna), Stephan Braun (Berlin) and already spent some time in New York City to connect with the local music scene. He‘s participating in a lot of stylisticaly different projects: Manu Delagos Ensemble, Christoph Pepe Auers‘ “White Noise”, Pannonica Project and “Little Rosies Kindergarten” are among his most known projects. He had the pleasure of working with Sylvie Courvoisier, Karin Hammar, Camilla Meza, Magda Giannikou, Erich Schleyer, Christian Reiner, Gina Schwarz and others.
Philipp Erasmus is a guitarist from Vienna, Austria. After his studies with Peter Rom and Andy Manndorff he focused on the acoustic guitar and set out to find an indivual language on this instrument. He worked together with Karl Ritter, Christoph Pepe Auer, Marco Simsa and others.
